ROSACEA OVERVIEW

Rosacea is a common, but little known disorder of the facial skin that affects an estimated 14 million Americans, most of whom do not know it. A recent Gallup survey found that 78 percent of Americans have no knowledge of this disease, including how to recognize it and what to do about it.

The exact cause of Rosacea is unknown but several theories exist. One theory of Rosacea?s origin is that the disease may be a component of a more generalized disorder of the blood vessels. This would explain why people with Rosacea have a tendency to blush so easily. For this reason, we have incorporated into the Visual Changes® Rosacea & Sensitive Skin Advanced Calming System plant derived anti irritants which help to reduce redness in the skin.

Another theory suggests that the condition is caused by microscopic skin mites called Demodex and a deficiency of Vitamin B. For this reason, we have incorporated into the Visual Changes® Rosacea & Sensitive Skin Advanced Calming Systems a Vitamin B Complex and extra Riboflavin to inhibit the Demodex thereby helping to alleviate the Rosacea effects.

There is also a theory that suggests changes in normal skin bacteria may play a role. This could be why some Rosacea patients develop papules (red bumps) and pustules (whiteheads). These acne like conditions of Rosacea patients can be treated with our Skin Clearing Gel 5% or 10%. Skin Clearing Gel 5% and 10% are formulated with ingredients to help heal and prevent pustules and papules. They also contain the natural antibiotic properties of Colloidal Silver and Manuka Oil to assist in eliminating any adverse changes in the skin bacteria. The end results is a calm, clear, beautiful complexion.

And, still another theory suggests an infection of the stomach with Helicobacter pylori may play a role. If your doctor suspects this is a problem he may recommend digestive enzymes.

The good news is, the Visual Changes® Rosacea & Sensitive Skin Advanced Calming Systems are loaded with soothing and nourishing sea plants, herbs, vitamins, antioxidants, and bioflavonoids that help reduce redness and inflammation resulting in a calm and soothed complexion. By combining a healthy lifestyle with help from your Visual Changes® skin care specialists and one of the Visual Changes® Rosacea & Sensitive Skin Advanced Calming Systems, you can enjoy a beautiful, healthieracting, complexion.
